Meikle Cottage

Meikle Cottage is an attractive modern detached warm bungalow located on a quiet cul de sac on the outskirts of Nairn. The property benefits from all day sunshine and with the house being set back from the road there is an overall feeling of spaciousness.

Meikle Cottage is within easy walking distance of both East and West beaches, Culbin Forest and the Nairn Dunbar Golf Club

Meikle Cottage is fully equipped with all mod cons including: Widescreen Digital HD TV, Blu ray DVD player, Xbox, PS3, Bose Radio CD and unlimited WiFi access. The property is furnished to a high standard with solid oak furniture, pure wool carpets and original prints and paintings give a a home away from home feel.

Meikle Cottage is also well stocked with an good selection of Books, DVD’s and Board Games should the weather preclude outdoor pursuits. The legendary Nairn Microclimate meaning these indoor facilities are not often required. There is an additional TV located in the master bedroom with a TV and Xbox arrangement in bedroom two (ideal for children or teens).

Meikle Cottage’s modern spacious kitchen contains a gas hob, electric cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, crockery, glassware, pots, pans and the usual kitchen utensils. The washing machine is located here and there is also a clothes dryer which is situated in the garage.

Meikle Cottage can accommodate up to four persons comfortably with the configuration of one double room and one twin bedded room. The sofa in the lounge can also be converted into an additional bed so accommodation for up to five people is achievable. There are also two rollaway beds in bedroom two but realistically only one can be deployed at a time due to room layout. The bathroom has a shower over bath arrangement, toilet, sink and mirror. An additional toilet is located in the cloakroom off the entrance vestibule. Iron and ironing board is also available should these be required.

Being a modern property Meikle Cottage comes well insulated with central heating throughout. There is a gas fire installed in the lounge along with additional oil radiators in the bedrooms.

Off street parking can accommodate two cars and garage access is available for the storage of golf equipment etc. The enclosed rear garden is equipped with outdoor furniture and a BBQ equipment is available on request.

Meikle Cottage is easily accessible for wheelchair users due to the fact that all the accommodation is on one level and there is a flat pathway leading from the drive to the entrance vestibule.

 

Tariff 2017
Rates range between £425-£625 per week dependant on season, refer to schedule below.
Discounts are available for multi-week bookings and consideration will be given to part weeks and weekend stays outside the main holiday months of June/July/August. Longer term rentals are available upon request.

Rates are FULLY INCLUSIVE and NO ADDITIONAL charges will be levied (property damage excluded)

* NOTE: A 10% Discount will be applied to reservations made at least two months in advance of arrival date provided payment in full is made at the time of reservation. A further discount will be offered for multiple weeks.

LONGER TERM RENTALS: Consideration will be given to longer term rentals outside of the peak holiday season of June/July/August. Please e-mail your requirements

DEPOSIT: A minimum 20% deposit is payable at the time of booking (enquire for full terms and conditions)

BOND: Circumstances now dictate it is necessary to collect £150 to cover any property damage. This will be refunded without deduction provided the caretaker has not reported any damage upon departure.

CHECK IN/OUT: Bookings run from 4pm Saturday afternoon until 10am the following Saturday morning to allow cleaners time to complete the changeover. This can be flexible if bookings permit but will need to be agreed in advance. Please enquire if you have specific requirements. Check in/out times can also be flexible but due to cleaning requirements this too will need to be agreed in advance 

PAYMENT: Via cheque or UK bank transfer

IMPORTANT: This agreement is made under the terms of schedule 4 section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 which gives the renter the right to occupy the property for an agreed period for holiday purposes only

PLEASE NOTE: MEIKLE COTTAGE is NOT suitable for pets of any kind and for the comfort and safety of others the property has a strict NO-SMOKING policy (inside)
